                                                                      Chapter 19

-Few Days Later-

Toyohisa was lying on his bed in his dark room. No light was on and the blinds were completely closed. In his mind, he wanted to just sleep.

His mom comes into the room.

Toyohisa's Mother: Honey...? How are you feeling...?

Toyohisa was lying on his side, trying to avoid any conversations.

Toyohisa's Mother: You already missed several days of school... but... I don't blame you for feeling after what happened...

Toyohisa's eyes were red after crying for the past few days. His mother kisses him on the head.

Toyohisa's Mother: Just get better.

That said, she gets up and leaves Toyohisa's room. Toyohisa continues lying on his bed.

-At School-

Lecture was going on at school. Taki and Ai were at class, they saw that Toyohisa's desk was empty again.

Like any best friend(s), they did worriy what happened to Toyohisa.

Ai: (Toyohisa-kun is not here for the third time...)

After school, both of them headed towards Toyohisa's house. Ai knocks on the door. Toyohisa's mother opens it.

Ai: Hi. We were just checking how Toyohisa was feeling.
Toyohisa's Mother: I'm sorry, Ai-chan... He's still very upset right now.
Taki: We were wondering if we could talk to him...?

The mother smiles to them.

Toyohisa's Mother: Yes. Hopefully, you two can get him right back on his feet.
Taki: We'll do our best... but we can't promise anything...

The two of them headed towards Toyohisa's room. They opened the door and enter into the dark atmosphere.

Ai: Toyohisa-kun...? It's me and Taki. We were just checking to see how you were feeling...

Both of them were now at his bed side. Toyohisa was still lying on his side.

Taki: Please, dude... where's the care free Toyohisa I know...?

Toyohisa remained silent. He was not in a mood to answer any questions.

Ai puts a hand on Toyohisa.

Ai: Toyohisa-kun... you know that you have a family who loves you... including me and Taki. We both love you because you are our best friend and brother... this isn't going to help you... it's just going to make things worst...

Ai, then, takes her hand off of Toyohisa.

Ai: We are all worried about you and we want you to be your old self again...

She pauses a bit.

Ai: Well... guess me and Taki will get going now.
Taki: Are we just going to give up?

Ai glares at Taki.

Ai: We're not giving up. He needs more time to clear his mind.
Taki: Alright.

Both of them leave the room but Ai sticks her head back in.

Ai: We miss you... and we hope you get better soon.

After saying that, she closes the door and leaves.

Toyohisa slowly turns over, now facing towards the ceiling. He was still quiet. He didn't want to reply back.

-Nighttime-

It was now dark. Toyohisa's parents were both asleep. Toyohisa takes a deep breath and gets up from bed.

He slowly opens the door and goes to the living room. He sits on the floor and pulls out something. It was his father's 9mm handgun which he was able to take before anyone could have notice on that day.

Toyohisa cocks the gun and points it at his chest. Tears starting to stream down his face. However, he gave a weak smile and he closes his eyes.

Toyohisa: ... ... ... Bye...

That said, he pulls the trigger. The sound of the gun going off echoed through the house. Toyohisa falls to the ground.
