True Love Chpt. 17

                                                                           Chapter 17

Inside the cafe, Toyohisa sits at a table by himself. He looks around and see people talking to each other and waitresses dressed in maid outfits.

Toyohisa: (So... why am I here again...?)

Toyohisa slowly gets up and walks to the door. Before he could take one step outside, he hears someone behind him.

Ai: Ah ah ah. Where are you going?

Toyohisa looks behind him and sees Ai in a maid outfit.

Toyohisa: Well... I really don't see the reason for me being here...

Ai takes his arm and begins pulling him back to his seat.

He sits back down and a glass of water was put on the table.

Ai: Just give me a sec, okay? Let me take care of a few customers.

That said, she leaves Toyohisa alone. Toyohisa sits there, taking a few sips of water.

He stares at the glass and began to wonder what Taki said to him again.

Toyohisa: I'm thinking about it too much...

Suddenly, a waitress goes up to him.

Waitress: Hi there. May I take your order?

Toyohisa jumps by the surprise.

Toyohisa: Oh! Um...

He begins to laugh nervously.

Toyohisa: I'm actually waiting for someone.

The waitress bows to him.

Waitress: As you wish.

The waitress walks away. That's when Ai arrived.

Ai sits in a seat across the table from Toyohisa.

Ai: Alright. I'm here now. So tell me. What is bothering you?

Toyohisa stares back at his glass.

Toyohisa: I told you... nothing is bothering me.

Ai gets up and leans forward. With one hand, she grabs and begins pinching Toyohisa's left cheek. Toyohisa begins yelping in pain.

Toyohisa: Ow ow ow ow ow!

Ai, then, lets go of his cheek. Toyohisa begins rubbing his cheek, trying to make the pain die down. It's sort of like a parent disciplining a child.

Ai: Toyohisa-kun... you know what happens when you lie to me...

Toyohisa continues rubbing his cheek.

Ai: Now come on... you trust me, right? What's bothering you?
Toyohisa: Well... I'm just bothered by what Taki said to me...
Ai: Which was...?
Toyohisa: You know how I'm dating Momoko. Taki is saying that she doesn't really like me...
Ai: I see...

All around Toyohisa and Ai, everyone were coming in and going out.

Ai: Don't let what Taki said, bother you. He's just worried.
Toyohisa: I know...
Ai: You know me and Taki support you, right?
Toyohisa: Yeah.
Ai: Good. See? That wasn't so hard, was it?

Toyohisa begins laughing.

Toyohisa: No.

Toyohisa gets up and bows to Ai.

Toyohisa: Thank you for the water.

That said, he walks out the door.

Ai's smile slowly disappears. She began to think like Taki.

Ai: Sorry, Toyohisa-kun... but I think Taki is right...
