Squad 13: Chapter 8

Chapter 8: "Meet Squad 13 - Shania, Miranda Maxwell, and Mike West"

Kit resumed his walk but then felt and hears his stomach growling a bit. "Man... I forgot that I didn't eat anything yet..." he said to himself. Thanks to the signs, he was able to find the mess hall with no problems.

Inside the cafeteria, there was only a few people. They really didn't pay any attention to Kitsune. They don't know that he's the new squad commander yet. He quietly gets his meal and sits at a table, by himself.

As he was about to eat, he was joined by three people. All of them were females. One had medium-size, black hair with red edges, and red eyes. Another with waist-long black hair and blue eyes. The third with medium-size, dark-brown hair, and dark-blue eyes.

"Never saw your face around here before. You new?" the girl with the red edges asked.

"Yeah. I'm the new commander of the squad." he replied to them.

"Oh okay. May we join you?" one of them asks.

Kit nodded. "By all means, feel free." he said to them.

One of them sits next to Kit while the other two sat across from him.

"So... what's your story and what's your name and rank?" they asked.

"Colonel Kitsune Havoc. Me and my sister was sent here because we disobeyed an order from high command that would involve getting my entire squad killed. We could've been sentenced to death but they decided to transfer me here instead." he said to them. "What about ya'll?" he asks.

The girl with the red edges swallows her food before answering. "Shania (21). Lance Corporal. Bazookamen." she answered. "I was sent here for dodging the draft that the Azura military did. I was close but I was still caught in the end." she explained.

Next, was the girl with wavy, waist-long, black hair. "Mike West (23). Corporal. Sniper. My story... lets just say... I'm trigger-happy and that I answer with molotov cocktails if I disagree with you." she answered.

"Ah... trigger happy and an arsonist, right?" he asks.

Mike nods her head and gives a smile. "That's right."

"And finally... you." he said as he points at the medium-long, brown haired girl.

"Miranda Maxwell (24). Staff Sergeant. Demolition." she said to him. "I accidentally blew up a ammo surplus depot, injuring several people. I know a wide range of explosions and I was making an experiment with some. That's when the disaster happened." she explained.

"Fascinating background stories. You'll all get your chance for redeeming yourselves. That's why we're all here, right?" he asks.

They all nodded and agreed.

"Good. Tomorrow. We'll start training." he said.
