Rush Chpt. 1

It's the first day of classes and now it's early afternoon at Nagoya University. Students were either going to their lectures, lunch, or clubs/activities.

A young girl, that has long medium brown hair with white streaks and gray eyes, goes up the stairwells and opens the door to the roof.

The young girl takes a deep breath of fresh air.

???: Ah... the air is really nice.

She was about to sit down until she saw a pair of legs sticking out from the side of the roof entrance.

The young girl slowly walk up towards the legs, revealing a boy, short and dark brown with black streaks and edges, with his eyes closed.

The girl examines the boy and realizes that he was breathing hard.

He had one hand on the ground, clenching on something, while the other was gripping his chest.

Thinking that she needed to act fast, the young girl runs to the young boys side to try and help him.

???: Hey! What's wrong!?

She puts a hand on the boys head to feel his temperature. The boy was getting a fever.

???: You're burning up!

The began to say something.

???: My left hand...
???: What?
???: Left hand...

The girl looks at his left hand, which was clenching on something, and opens it.

After opening it, it revealed what looked like a syringe shot. The girl was surprised at the item.

???: Wh-wh-wh-what d-do I do with this!?

The girl was shocked after what she heard come out from the boys mouth.

???: Stab me... in the heart...
???: WHAT!?!?!? I can't do that!!!
???: Hurry...

The girl takes the shot. Looks at it then back at the boy and looks at it one more time. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes.

She, then, lunges it into his heart, pushing all of the liquid into the organ.

The girl lets go of the syringe and takes a few steps back.

Feeling his heart starting to beat in a normal speed, the boy takes the syringe out and puts it by his side.

He began breathing normally and he puts two fingers on his wrist to check his pulse.

???: Whew... that was a close one...

The boy looks up at the girl revealing his eyes, which his left eye was red and the right was dark blue.

???: Haha... seems you've saved me and I thank you.

The girl begins to blush.

???: It's no problem... really...

Finally getting his energy back, the boy slowly gets back up onto his feet.

???: My name is Naguno. What's yours?
???: Um... I'm Kanade. I'm a freshman here.
Naguno: It's nice to meet you. I'm a junior.

The clock begins to toll.

Naguno: Well... looks like my lecture is about to begin.

Naguno bows to Kanade.

Naguno: Thanks for helping me. Hope to see you again.

That said, Naguno walks to the door and leaves. Kanade stands there for a bit and looks down on the ground, seeing the syringe.

She picks it up carefully and examines it.


It said:

"In case of Cardiac Dysrhythmia, use this Epinephrine Auto-injector to put your heart  back into normal speed."


Under it was a warning label


It read:

"WARNING: Using the device intravenously is highly discouraged, and can even be lethal as epinephrine is a local vascular constrictor, and use intravenously can restrict blood flow to the area of the injection site, causing subsequent damage to extremities. Additionally, intravenous administration of the epinephrine can cause ventricular tachycardia, or dangerously rapid heartbeat. After administering the device, patients are advised to seek immediate medical attention."


Kanade was a bit alarmed about this.

Kanade: I wonder why he would use something dangerous like this...?
