Ghost Brigade Chpt. 46

                                                       Xang vs. Piro

Hayate and Piro walked through the city ruins. Both of them kept their eyes peeled. Piro suddenly heard something.

Piro: Hold up!

Piro and Hayate hid behind a pile of rocks.

Hayate: What is it?
Piro: I don't know.

Piro looks up. He sees a small squad of enemy soldiers walking by.

Piro: Alright. You go back and get reinforcements.
Hayate: What!? How about you?
Piro: Just go! I'll keep an eye on them.

Hayate hesitated for a while until he finally agreed to go.

Hayate: Okay. You be careful.
Piro: Yeah. You too.

That said, Hayate uses his ability and disappears. Piro looks back at the enemy squad. The enemy were sitting around resting. Next to them were barrels. Piro takes his shotgun out and changes firing style. He changes it from the traditional scatter shell, to what acts like a grenade launcher. The bullet comes out whole and when it hits the ground, it shatters causing numerous shrapnel.

Piro pops out from his hiding spot and fires a shell. The distance was absolutely shocking. The bullet was able to reach the barrels, making them explode. Piro puts his shotgun on his shoulder. But then, something hits the gun making it fly out of his hand. Piro looks around. He sees a figure standing on a ruined light post.

It was Xang. He had his pistol aimed at Piro. However, Piro wasn't worried. Xang jumps off the post and lands in front of it.

Piro: Your the one who attacked my friends.
Xang: I was ordered to.
Piro: Ordered? You fighting for the wrong side. Your gifted with the "Vanishing" as well.
Xang: You too are part of this Ghost Brigade?
Piro: Yes.
Xang: I see... Then you are my enemy!

Xang takes his sword out and charges straight at Piro. Taking out his weapon, Piro uses his ability making Xang phase through him. Piro turns around and hits the gun out of Xang's hand. Ironically, the pistol lands next to Piro's shotgun.

Xang: Impressive.

Xang phases through the ground. Piro lies and waits. Xang appears behind him. Piro's senses quickly back flips missing Xang's stab and lands behind him. He swings his blade but Xang disappears, missing him.

Piro: Damn it...

Piro, again, keeps his eyes open. The pistol was floating, Xang pulls the trigger. Piro quickly hides behind rocks. The gun disappears as well.

He sticks his head out again, but a bullet hits near him making him hide. Piro looks around. He needed to find something to use as a distraction. He sees a pile of rocks. Stretching his arms, he makes them float (kind of like the force except he can only do this if the item is non-organic) He throws them where Xang might be.

Xang fires at all of them. Piro uses his sword and throws it. The sword was able to knock out the gun from Xang's hand. Piro uses his speed and charges straight at the enemy. Xang tries to swing his sword but Piro hits his arm making him let go. Piro then uppercuts him into the air. He then kicks him into a ruined wall.

Piro lands and looks at the distance where Xang might be.

Xang: Behind you.

Piro turns around. Xang grabs him by the neck and begins running, smashing him through walls, debris, and other ruins, before throwing him into a wrecked building in the second floor. Xang jumps onto the floor and slowly walks up to him. Piro was a mess. He looks up into the eyes of his enemy.

Xang: Just give it up. You can't win. I don't want to kill you.

Piro looks at a pile of rocks behind Xang. Hoping that he wouldn't look behind him. The rocks hit Xang. He turns around and shields himself. He looks back and sees Piro has disappeared.

Piro phases through the floor onto the first floor. He falls. He can't use his ability now. He was tired and hurt. He staggers and leans onto a wall. He sits, back up against the wall. Suddenly, an arm phases through the wall and wraps around Piro. He struggles to break free but he goes through the wall.

He was now in a submission hold due to Xang. Piro's squirming was slowly dying down. But, without thinking, Piro smashes his back head into Xang's face.

Xang let's go of him making Piro fall to his knees. Xang covers part of his face with one hand. Piro finds his sword close to him. With the energy he has, he staggers and retrieves the sword. Xang, too, finds his sword. Both of them stared each other in the face. Both were dirty, clothes shredded, and bleeding. Piro throws his ruined glasses away.

Both of them went into a stance. Then both charged at each other, clashing blades. Xang puts his to the ground making a crater. Piro jumps in time and charges straight at him. Xang pull out his blade and blocks. Again, both clashed. Both stopped, in their stance, and stared at each other. Piro charges, swinging his blade. Clashing one last time. Xang kicks Piro under the chin making him get off the ground a bit. Xang throws his sword. This time, reaching it's mark.

The sword penetrates through Piro's left arm and making him smash to a wall. Piro was really weak now. He struggles to take the sword out. Xang walks up to him and takes his blade out.

Xang: Your done.

Xang stabs Piro through his chest. Piro lets out one final gasp...
