GB: Assault Chpt. 23

Crossroad

The battle for Paris continued to rage on. Both sides continue to put up a fierce fight. Sevan and Ryder were on the front lines, slicing and dicing away enemy forces.

Sevan decides to start a chat while killing their enemies.

Sevan: So, Ryder... why don't you trust that Coalition General?
Ryder: I keep getting a bad feeling about him.
Sevan: Marcel seems to trust him.
Ryder: He's too easily fooled.

Both of them continued their attack.

Elsewhere, Bohater, Zidon, and McQueen were taking care of business of their own.

McQueen: Man. They just keep coming.

McQueen stabbing and slicing anyone that came charging towards him.

Bohater: Hey, at least we're part of the action this time instead of sitting back and watching the "Normals" get all the glory.
Zidon: He's right, you know.

Bohater smashes his hammer into the ground, causing his opponents to fall, making them easy targets. Zidon comes rushing in, slashing anyone who gets in his way.

Zidon motions his scythe downward, making a shock wave, paralyzing the Underworld soldiers.

McQueen: Lets finish this area and go to the next one.

McQueen fired a few shots from his cannon gun.

Back at base. Marcel and Westwood were holding the fort. Marcel positioned his machine gun and began firing at the enemy crowd.

Westwood quickly detonated traps for the incoming Underworld forces.

While doing this, they both talked to each other.

Westwood: Marcel. Do you trust that "Normal"?
Marcel: What do you mean "Normal", Westwood?
Westwood: In other words... do you actually trust that General?
Marcel: I do. Why do you ask?
Westwood: Like Ryder, I just feel suspicious when I'm around him.
Marcel: He's a fellow Frenchmen, like me.
Westwood: That doesn't mean anything... Even neighbors betray neighbors.

Marcel didn't want to continue talking. He was starting to get upset but Westwood was sticking to what he said.

Westwood: (Don't trust him, Marcel...)

Both sides continued taking heavy casualties. Westwood jumps in the air and throws six grenades at the enemy squad. he lands with his hand-held weapon drawn.

Westwood: Man... they don't give up, do they?
Marcel: Just continue the fight.

The Coalition with Westwood and Marcel continued holding their ground. Fierce hand-to-hand combat. Sevan and the rest arrived to help out Marcel and Westwood.
